टेम्पलेट:Cite WoRMS/doc
This template is used to generate references or external links to the World Register of Marine Species (WoRMS). It uses {{cite web}} to produce the output, and passes the publisher to that template automatically. It also contains a table of database names, to save the user from entering the database's title and editor(s). Typical usage would be:
{{cite WoRMS |author= |year= |title= |id= |accessdate=}}
For an entry that is part of one of the named databases in WoRMS, the additional db=
parameter is used:
{{cite WoRMS |author= |year= |title= |id= |accessdate= |db=}}
Where the entry is not in one of the names databases, db=
can be omitted. The title=
field should contain Wiki-formatting for italics, as appropriate. To use as an external link, omit the accessdate=
field. If the author=
field is missing or empty, a default author of "WoRMS" will appear.
- Example output
- {{cite WoRMS |author=P. Schuchert |year=2010 |title=''Zyzzyzus'' Stechow, 1921d |db=Hydrozoa |id=267956 |accessdate=November 24, 2011}}
produces:
- P. Schuchert (2010). "Zyzzyzus Stechow, 1921d". World Hydrozoa database. World Register of Marine Species. Retrieved November 24, 2011.
