एकर नाँव संस्कृत मूल से निकलल हवे आ मानल जाला कि एकर उल्लेख ऋग्वेद की समय से संस्कृत में मिलेला।

चकोर पाकिस्तान क राष्ट्रीय पक्षी हवे। साहित्य में एकर उल्लेख ऋग्वेद की समय (1700 ईपू) से होत आइल बाटे [2] भारतीय क्षेत्रन में आ साहित्य में एके बहुत प्रेमी पक्षी मानल जाला आ ई मान्यता प्रचलित बाटे कि ई रात भर चंद्रमा के निहारत रहेला।[3][4][5] प्रजनन की समय बहुत उग्र सुभाव क होखला की वजह से एके लड़ाकू चिरई की रूप में लडावे खातिर भी पोसल जाला।
