अन्तरविकि आयातक विकिपीडिया

नमस्ते दोस्तों, मेरी भोजपुरी भाषा पर अच्छी पकड़ नहीं होने के कारण मेरा सन्देश हिन्दी में लिख रहा हूँ। आप अपनी टिप्पणियाँ भोजपुरी में लिख सकते हैं क्योंकि भोजपुरी समझने में मुझे कोई समस्या नहीं है। हमारे यहाँ अन्तरविकि आयातक अधिकार किसी भी सदस्य को दिया तो जा सकता है परन्तु यह अधिकार पूर्णतः प्राप्त करने के लिए हमें उन विकिपीडियाओं की सूची बनाकर मेटाविकि पर ले जानी होगी जिनसे हमें आयात करना है। इसमें मैं हिन्दी और अंग्रेज़ी का नाम सबसे उपर रखना चाहूँगा फिर भी यदि आप चाहो तो हम एक लम्बी सूची जोड़ सकते हैं। हिन्दी विकिपीडिया पर यह कार्य निम्न विकिपीडियाओं से सम्भव है:

Meta RfCs on two new global groups

Hello all,

There are currently requests for comment open on meta to create two new global groups. The first is a group for members of the OTRS permissions queue, which would grant them autopatrolled rights on all wikis except those who opt-out. That proposal can be found at m:Requests for comment/Creation of a global OTRS-permissions user group. The second is a group for Wikimedia Commons admins and OTRS agents to view deleted file pages through the 'viewdeletedfile' right on all wikis except those who opt-out. We would like to hear what you think on both proposals. Both are in English; if you wanted to translate them into your native language that would also be appreciated.

It is possible for individual projects to opt-out, so that users in those groups do not have any additional rights on those projects. To do this please start a local discussion, and if there is consensus you can request to opt-out of either or both at m:Stewards' noticeboard.

Global AbuseFilter

Hello,

AbuseFilter is a MediaWiki extension used to detect likely abusive behavior patterns, like pattern vandalism and spam. In 2013, Global AbuseFilters were enabled on a limited set of wikis including Meta-Wiki, MediaWiki.org, Wikispecies and (in early 2014) all the "small wikis". Recently, global abuse filters were enabled on "medium sized wikis" as well. These filters are currently managed by stewards on Meta-Wiki and have shown to be very effective in preventing mass spam attacks across Wikimedia projects. However, there is currently no policy on how the global AbuseFilters will be managed although there are proposals. There is an ongoing request for comment on policy governing the use of the global AbuseFilters. In the meantime, specific wikis can opt out of using the global AbuseFilter. These wikis can simply add a request to this list on Meta-Wiki. More details can be found on this page at Meta-Wiki. If you have any questions, feel free to ask on m:Talk:Global AbuseFilter.

Train-the-Trainer Program - 2015 (Announcement)

Dear Wikimedians,

Apologies for posting this in English. If any friends could translate this in Bhojpuri please help in translating.

As most of you are aware, the Centre for Internet and Society's Access To Knowledge program (CIS-A2K) conducted the first Wikipedia Train-the-Trainer (TTT) programme in 2013 with an aim to support and groom leadership skills in the community members. We are extremely thankful to all the senior Wikimedians who acted as Resource Persons for the 2013 event. Achal, Arjuna, Hari, Shymal, Tinu and Viswa! Without your help we could not have conducted it so successfully.

This message is to let you all know that we have scheduled to conduct the second iteration of this program at the end of February 2015. We are inviting applications from interested Indian Wikimedians. Please see this page on Meta for more details.

निर्वाचित लेख के लिए आप पहले ७ पृष्ठ बना लें। इसमें एक और भी काम कर सकते हैं। एक सूची में हम सभी निर्वाचित लेखों को डाल देंगे और खोलने वाले के पास वो यादृच्छिक रूप से खुलेंगे। इसमें एक ही दर्शक यदि एक दिन में कई बार लेख को खोलेगा तो उसे एक नया पृष्ठ दिखाई देगा। अतः सप्ताह में बदलने वाला अथवा यादृच्छिक रूप से बदलने वाले लेख में से एक तरिका चुन सकते हैं।☆★संजीव कुमार (✉✉) १४:२७, १० अप्रिल २०१५ (UTC)

सत्यम् जी, हिन्दी विकिपीडिया पर ऐसे हज़ारों चित्र हैं जिनमें लाइसेंस की गलत जानकारी है जबकि वहाँ कुल चित्रों की संख्या ३ हज़ार से कम है। अर्थात छोटी विकियों पर चित्र अपलोड करने की सुविधा प्रदान करने पर अधिकतर चित्र गलत जानकारी के साथ उपलोड किये जायेंगे और हमारे पास ऐसे चित्रों की जाँच करने के लिए ओटीआरएस सुविधा भी नहीं है। अतः ऐसी अवस्था में सभी सदस्यों को यह अधिकार मिलने पर भविष्य में इनकी समीक्षा करना आसान नहीं रहेगा। इसके अलावा आप विकि-कॉमन्स पर देखोगे तो पावोगे कि लगभग सभी पृष्ठों के लिए एक दो उपयुक्त चित्र तो वहाँ मिल ही जाता है। अतः क्या आप इस अधिकार को यहाँ लाने के लिए उचित कारण बता सकते हो?☆★संजीव कुमार (✉✉) ११:१२, १२ अप्रिल २०१५ (UTC)

संजीव जी मुझे नहीं पता हिंदी विकि पर ऐसा कैसे है लेकिन यदि प्रबंधक अपलोड के समय ही इन फाइलों पर ध्यान देते तो शायद ऐसा नहीं होता। आप का कहना ठीक है कि इससे असुविधा बढ़ेगी। पर यह असुविधा प्रबंधकों के लिए होगी। सामान्य सदस्यों को किसी सुविधा से इसलिए वंचित करना कि इससे प्रबंधकों का काम बढ़ जाएगा कुछ ठीक नहीं लग रहा।

जहाँ तक छोटी विकि होने की बात है, यह विकि इतनी छोटी है कि मेरे प्रबंधक बनने और फालतू चित्रों को मिटाने से पहले (7 सालों में) तक कुल 25-30 फाइलें ही अपलोड थीं। फिलहाल इतनी जल्द यह काम इतना बड़ा हो जाएगा मुझे नहीं लगता।

मैं इसे इसलिए भी चाहता हूँ कि इसे कुछ ही महीने पहले इस सूचना के बाद हटाया गया है (शायद जनवरी में)। कारण यह था की हमारे यहाँ मीडियाविकि:Licenses पन्ना था ही नहीं। मुझे उस समय इन चीजों की बहुत जानकारी नहीं थी अतः मैं कोई उत्तर नहीं दे पाया। पर अब जब मैंने इसे समझने का प्रयास किया है और कुछ हद तक सीख है,मैं इसे वापस पुरानी स्थिति में चाहता हूँ। क्योंकि यह स्थिति प्रबंधकों की अक्षमता/अनुपलब्धता के कारण उत्पन्न हुयी है।--सत्यम् मिश्र (talk) १३:०५, १२ अप्रिल २०१५ (UTC)

पहले मैंने इस विकि पर फ़ोटो अपलोड करने की कोशिश की और एक दो की होगी। इसमें license वगैरह देने होते हैं। अधिकतर फ़ोटो तो हमें ईधर ही मिल जाते हैं लेकिन local photos वगैरह डालने की जरुरत है जिसे खुद खिंच कर डाला जाय। मैं यह काम नहीं कर सकता क्योंकि मैं विदेश में हूँ। आप अगर गांव, गलियों, शहर आदि जगहों की फ़ोटो खीच कर यहाँ डाल सकते हैं तो ठीक है हमें इसे फिर से चालू कराना होगा। अगर गूगल वगैरह से लेकर डालते हैं तो कोई फायदा नहीं। ---GaneshKumar ०३:१७, १३ अप्रिल २०१५ (UTC)

मैं बस यह रास्ता खुला रखना चाहता हूँ। संजीव जी और सुशील जी की चिंता जायज है कि सफ़ाई का बोझ प्रबंधकों पर रहेगा और प्रबंधकों के असक्रिय रहने की स्थिति में काफी फालतू चीजें लाद दी जाएँगी। पर केवल इस आशंका के चलते कि प्रबंधक सुस्त हो सकते हैं, इसे न लागू करना कहीं से ठीक नहीं लगता। मैं कितने दिन प्रबंधक का दायित्व निभाऊँगा या सक्रिय भी रह पाऊँगा, नहीं कह सकता, पर कोई भी विकि किसी एक व्यक्ति के ऊपर आश्रित नहीं है। जिस तरह आप लोगों को कोई प्रबंधक न रहने की आशंका है उसी तरह मुझे और प्रबंधकों के आने की आशा है। गणेश जी! फोटो खींच कर तो अपलोड शायद मैं भी न करूँ, पर कोई कर भी सकता है। मुझे याद है हिंदी विकि पर एक पुस्तक के कवर को अपलोड करने की आवश्यकता पड़ी थी और मैंने भूलवश उसे कॉमन्स पे अपलोड कर दिया था जो कुछ दिन बाद हटा दिया गया जबकि इसे उचित उपयोग के लाइसेंस के तहत लोकली अपलोड करना था। ऐसी जरूरत किसी को पड़ सकती है। --सत्यम् मिश्र (talk) ०५:३७, १३ अप्रिल २०१५ (UTC)

I am pleased to announce that nominations are now being accepted for the 2015 Wikimedia Foundation Elections. This year the Board and the FDC Staff are looking for a diverse set of candidates from regions and projects that are traditionally under-represented on the board and in the movement as well as candidates with experience in technology, product or finance. To this end they have published letters describing what they think is needed and, recognizing that those who know the community the best are the community themselves, the election committee is accepting nominations for community members you think should run and will reach out to those nominated to provide them with information about the job and the election process.

This year, elections are being held for the following roles:

Board of Trustees
The Board of Trustees is the decision-making body that is ultimately responsible for the long term sustainability of the Foundation, so we value wide input into its selection. There are three positions being filled. More information about this role can be found at the board elections page.

Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC)
The Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) makes recommendations about how to allocate Wikimedia movement funds to eligible entities. There are five positions being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC elections page.

Funds Dissemination Committee (FDC) Ombud
The FDC Ombud receives complaints and feedback about the FDC process, investigates complaints at the request of the Board of Trustees, and summarizes the investigations and feedback for the Board of Trustees on an annual basis. One position is being filled. More information about this role can be found at the FDC Ombudsperson elections page.

The candidacy submission phase lasts from 00:00 UTC April 20 to 23:59 UTC May 5 for the Board and from 00:00 UTCApril 20 to 23:59 UTC April 30 for the FDC and FDC Ombudsperson. VisualEditor's editing environment is a browser ContentEditable element. This means that your input method editor (IME) should already know how to work with it. However, to make VisualEditor correctly edit wiki pages, we have to stop browsers in lots of ways from breaking the page.

Sometimes this can interfere with IMEs. To make sure we work in your IME, we need your help: please see wikimedia.github.io/VisualEditor/demos/ve/desktop-dist.html#!pages/simple.html. This is the core system inside VisualEditor which lets you write and edit. It is different from the full editor, and some of the tools you are used to will be missing.

We're interested in particular in whether you can write text at all, what happens when you select different candidate texts, and how VisualEditor behaves in general.
