सिक्योरिटी हैकर भा सिक्योरिटी रिसर्चर ऊ व्यक्ति होला, जे कंप्यूटर सिस्टम चाहे नेटवर्क के सुरक्षा के तूरे भा बायपास करे के तरीका खोजेला, आ एकरा खातिर ओह सिस्टम भा सिक्योरिटी में मौजूद कमजोरी के इस्तेमाल करेला।^[1] हैकर लोग अलग-अलग कारण से काम कर सकेला—जइसे मुनाफा कमावे, विरोध जतावे, नुकसान पहुँचावे, जानकारी जुटावे,^[2] चुनौती (चैलेंज) खातिर, मनोरंजन खातिर, या फिर अच्छा नीयत से सिस्टम के कमजोरी समझ के ओकरा के मजबूत बनावे खातिर।
