चिरई, चिड़िया या पक्षी (अंग्रेजी: Bird) एगो दू गो पैर वाली, आ पाँख (पंख) वाली, अंडा देवे वाली जंतु हवे[3] जेवन उड़ सकेलिन (कुछ प्रजाति के छोड़के)। ई एगो रीढ़ वाली आ गरम खून वाली जंतु हवे जेवना की शरीर के तापमान बाहर के वातावरण से बहुत प्रभावित ना होला।[3] तापमान के एह संतुलन खातिर इन्हन के शरीर पाँख (feather) से ढँकल रहे ला।

चिरइन के पुरा दुनिया में लगभग १०,००० प्रजाति पावल जाले। भारत में इनहन के लगभग १,३१४ गो प्रजाति रिकार्ड कइल गइल बाटे। इन्हन में से ४२ गो देसी, १ गो बाहर से आदमिन द्वारा ले आइल, आ करीब २५ गो यदा-कदा आ बहुत कम पावाल जाये वाली (rare or accidental) बाडीं। दू गो प्रजाति अबले भारत से बिलुप्त हो चुकल बाडीं आ ८२ गो प्रजाति अइसन बाडीं जिन्हन पर पुरा बिस्व में खतरा मँडरात बाटे।

भारत का राष्टीय पक्षी भारतीय मोर (Pavo cristatus) हउवे।[4]
